" No technology strategy for supporting reading"

" No technology strategy for supporting reading"

Hey Everyone,

This is my first official AT trial for this bog. The first AT that I trialed is a "No tech tool" for Reading. I purchased Guided Reading Strips from Crystal Children and teacher supply through Amazon. They arrived in a set of 7 for  $10.35, free Prime shipping.  The rulers measure 1.25" x 7.25". As you may see from the pictures below they fit the width of an average text book. I selected these rulers over full page transparencies because the rulers highlight an average of one line of text for a child's textbook and two lines for a college textbook. I think this feature is more helpful for tracking. This could possibly be helpful for students that struggle tracking their place while reading or for the students that don't like tracking with their finger. I only had two colors at the time of this post but found the dark colors made it slightly difficult to focus on the text. When I initially received my order I did test all the colors and found that YELLOW and CLEAR were the easiest for me to focus with. If I were to purchase these again I would likely purchase a single color pack. Click on the Amazon link for additional information.
